PRIMARY PURPOSE: Perform duties as determined by cook, including assisting cook in preparing and serving meals for classes daily. Working with teaching team, parents, and children. Kitchen clean-up daily.. ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS (Reason position exists is to perform these functions): 1.Food preparation and planning a.Prepare food daily. b.Use planned rotation menus; follow approved and credited recipes for menu items and for cook'schoice (up to twice monthly). c.Prepare nutritious and appealing meals and snacks that meet the developmental/individual needs,allergies, and preferences of children 0-5, following CACFP guidelines. d.Meals are planned and prepared for serving at specified meal times. e.Cover prepped food for transport from kitchen to classroom. f.
