We're seeking an Early Head Start (EHS) Home Visitor to partner closely with families of infants, toddlers, and expectant parents to deliver personalized, relationship-based home visiting services that support child development, strengthen parenting skills, and connect families to vital community resources. The pay rate for this position will range from $22.41 - $32.00 per hour, depending on qualifications. Abbreviated Duties List: -Provide child development, parent education and family support during weekly 90-minute home visits to families of infants and toddlers and expectant parents. -Collaborate with program staff to ensure children and families receive comprehensive services from all components within our program in accordance with policies and procedures. -Complete screenings, assessments, referrals, and applications with families as required. -Provide successful inclusion of children with mental health and/or special needs and work with Early Childhood Special Education staff and partners to identify and provide appropriate services. -Conduct and encourage ongoing parenting education activities and parent engagement in parent workgroups, Policy Council and other opportunities. -Occasionally pick-up and deliver needed resources to families. Abbreviated Requirements: -Education: Minimum of a Home Visitor Child Development Associate Credential (CDA) or equivalent coursework as part of an Associate or Bachelor's degree or Early Childhood Education Certificate; sufficient to be placed at Step 8 or higher on the Oregon Registry. Applicants with an Infant/Toddler CDA will be considered and must be willing to obtain a Home Visitor CDA within six months of their hire date. An equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered. -Experience: Minimum of one year of relevant experience and demonstrated knowledge in infant/toddler (ages birth-3 years) development, education, health, nutrition, and safety as well as family dynamics and adult learning principles. -Knowledge of community resources and the skills to link families with appropriate agencies and services. -Intermediate computer literacy and familiarity with applications such as databases and spreadsheets, word processing, email and internet. -Must be able to successfully pass applicable background and Oregon Central Background Registry checks prior to new hire processing and beginning actual employment. -Completion of appropriate Fit for Duty and TB Testing according to Head Start regulations prior to date of hire.
