PRIMARY PURPOSE: Promote family engagement in South Coast Head Start programs. Assist in the provision of family support services according to contract requirements, program work plans, program goals and funding source rules and regulations. Support family goals related to safety, wellness, and finance stability. ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS (Reason position exists is to perform these functions): Direct Services 1.Facilitate parenting education/life skills activities, workshops & events 2.Support families’ safety, health, financial stability, life goals and aspirations. 3.Conduct home visits as needed. 4.Provide families with timely information and referrals appropriate to their needs. 5.Maintain regular communication with families based on family’s individual needs. Tracking and Monitoring 1.Utilize agency adopted tools for documentation. 2.Ensure all federal, local, state and/or agency documentation is completed accurately. 3.Document all family contacts and home visits.
