Job description

Position Summary: In support of the Agency's mission and under the direction of the CACFP Supervisor, the Food Services Specialist ensures the provision of quality comprehensive Early Head Start and Head Start nutrition services in the CACFP (Child and Adult Food Program) component. This position works closely with the CACFP Supervisor and the Child Development Leadership Team (CDLT) to ensure that the food service program is implemented in accordance with the program policies and procedures and state and federal regulations. This position works collaboratively with the CACFP Supervisor and the Food Service Assistants to maintain nutrition standards for CACFP meals and snacks by following ongoing monitoring plans and auditing compliance.
