Healthy Families Lead Worker/Home Visitor Family Building Blocks in Salem, OR is seeking a full-time Healthy Families Lead Worker/Home Visitor. The wage starts at $22.25 - $24.31 per hour, with an additional hourly rate for bilingual candidates. Family Building Blocks is more than a charity. We're a 501(c)(3) certified relief nursery serving Marion and Polk counties. Our mission is to "Keep Children Safe and Families Together." We partner with parents of young children facing overwhelming life circumstances, providing the most specialized, intensive, free, and voluntary services. We are the only organization of its kind in our community, offering a range of transformative programs, including our therapeutic early childhood programs, Relief Nursery, Healthy Families, Early Head Start, and Family Mental Health. As a Healthy Families Lead Worker/Home Visitor, you will supervise 2-4 home visitors and provide direct home visits to families, following Healthy Families Oregon standards. As part of Family Building Blocks' supervisory team, you will oversee home visitors' work, monitor their progress, provide case-conferencing, and deliver ongoing training. You will support home visitors to thrive in their roles and ensure services are delivered in alignment with Healthy Families America standards. In addition, you will conduct home visits to help families create a positive home environment, support healthy child development, and strengthen parent-child relationships. You will use therapeutic strategies to improve parenting skills, reduce family stress, and support families in accessing community resources. OR Associate's Degree in human services, ECE, Child Development, or related field and 4 years of working in family support, social work, early childhood education, or related field including experience with high-risk populations and home visiting. OR Five or more years' experience years of working in family support, social work, early childhood education, or related field including experience with high-risk populations and home visiting, preferably Healthy Families experience. A solid understanding of or experience in supervising diverse staff with humility, as well as providing support to staff in stressful work environments Experience in home visiting with a strong background in early childhood prevention services Willingness to engage in building reflective practice (e.g., capacity for introspection, communicating awareness of self in relation to others, recognizing value of supervision, etc.) An ability to establish trusting relationships Acceptance of individual differences Experience and humility to work with culturally diverse families Knowledge of infant and child development and parent-child attachment Experience with family services that embrace the concepts of family-centered and strength-based service provision Knowledge of maternal-infant health and dynamics of child abuse and neglect Experience in providing services to culturally diverse families and communities Strong commitment to Family Building Blocks mission and values serving children and families as well as staff. Possess strong organizational, time management, recordkeeping skills. Experience demonstrating excellence in computer skills, including Excel and Word in a Microsoft Windows environment. Ability to learn new programs required for the position. Must be creative, flexible, able to juggle multiple priorities, exercise good judgment.
