GENERAL DESCRIPTION: This job description is used for our Preschool Program. The Teacher Assistant position will assist the Teacher in planning, preparation and implementation of a safe and developmentally appropriate classroom curriculum for up to 18, three, four- and five-year-old children. The Teacher Assistant works in collaboration with the Lead Teacher and Aide to provide comprehensive, responsive lessons that focus on all areas of development including: social-emotional, physical, language, literacy, cognitive and math. This role will also support with the compliance in Head Start Performance Standards, HSYC Policies and Procedures as well as Oregon Department of Learning and Care (DELC) Standards.
