Starts at $20.90/hr to $30.09/hr depending qualifications. SUMMARY OF POSITION: Teacher/Home Visitor is responsible to lead a teaching team in preparing a classroom of three, four, and five-year-old children for kindergarten socially, emotionally, and academically; create lesson plans, observe and document child progress, set child and family goals and collaborate to achieve them; hold home visits and child goal conferences to ensure families are receiving the support and resources they need, to keep teacher and parent on the same page, and keep goals on track for child/family success. The position also assures completion of screenings as mandated by performance standards. MINIMUM EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE: AA or higher in Early Childhood Education (ECE) or related field and minimum of step 8 in Oregon Registry Online. Accreditation must be accepted by the state of Oregon. Demonstrate the ability to express ideas effectively with staff/professionals/community members and work with a minimum of supervision. Two years Head Start experience preferred. The ability to speak, read and write Spanish, preferred.
