State funds help Oregon Head Start programs avoid shutdown closures

Head Start programs in Oregon will avoid closures during the federal government shutdown, thanks to early access to state funds. The Department of Early Learning and Care will meet with OHSA and program leaders this week to discuss a 60-day agreement that allows qualifying, dually funded programs to tap into state funds early.
